Banana Fiber - A new class of environmental friendly Polymer Composite

Researchers have concentrated more on green substitutes for engineering applications in the present century. Immense achievements in green technology have been witnessed especially in the field of material sciences by way of developing the bio composites. This is done as an environmental protection and sustainability. Natural resource materials have gained momentum which intern lead to the development of high performance presently. Natural banana fiber is one, which has gained a pivotal role, by the researchers, due to the unique characteristic features of intrinsic properties, such as biodegradability, availability, flexibility, eco-friendly in nature and its easy processing. This fiber based materials are used commonly in the fields of automotive industry and biomedical field. These banana fibers are used as a reinforcement component in polymers and its addition with some specific properties have been considered as vital as a finished product. So such usages in various synthetic strategies are found in variety of natural fibers, which is based on polymer composite materials. After having considered its advantages the possibility of this could be used to process the bio renewable material banana fibers, with its chemical functions and preparation of resins. To conclude finally, it is essential to evaluate the future trends of this banana fiber bio composite in particular.
