Synthesis and Application of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles have attracted significant interest due to their exceptional properties, which include broad multi-domains such as piezoelectric nature, high thermal conductivity, and antimicrobial activity. This review examines the various synthetic methods used to produce ZnO nanoparticles, focusing on their advantages and limitations. The article broadly analyzes methods for synthesizing zinc oxide and zinc oxide nanoparticles and their applications in various industrial fields, including optoelectronics, sensor technologies, biomedical fields, and environmental improvement. Issues related to large-scale production, toxicity, and stability of ZnO nanoparticles are discussed, as well as promising research directions to overcome these obstacles and realize their full potential.
