Synthesis and characterization of a new ligand ligand 2-[2-(1-hydroxy-4-methyl phenyl)azo benzimidazole with its ionic complexes Ni(II),Cu(II),Pd(II),Ag(I) ,Pt(IV) and Au(III)

The first stage of the research involved the preparation of a new ligand from heterocyclic organic AZO ligands in two steps ,the first step is the formation of a diazonium salt, which in turn enters the coupling reaction, resulting in the alkande and the person of the ligand mediated by the proton spectra of NMR 1H-NMR, infrared FT-IR, ultraviolet- Visible-UV, and SEM scanning electron spectroscopy) , as well as accurate analysis of (C.H.N )elements ,as for the second stage of the research, a series of solid metal complexes of the azo ligand with Ni+2, Pd+2, Pt+4, Cu+2, Ag+1 and Au+3 were prepared, and all solid metal complexes were diagnosed using the above techniques, except for Proton Spectra, NMR 1H-NMR,, SEM scanning electron spectroscopy for some prepared solid metal complexes, and the use of absorption spectroscopy flame atomic, for the purpose of determining the percentages of metal ions in prepared complexes, The magnetic sensitivity of these prepared complexes was studied, as well as the molar conductivity of the renal complexes dissolved in ethanol was studied at a concentration of 1×10-3 molars and at Laboratory temperature.
