Most of Indonesia's territory is the ocean, so marine materials are the potency that needs to be developed, such as Turbinaria ornata, brown algae that have wound- healing and antimicrobial activity proved. Its chemical compound comprises Neophytadiene and 4,8,12,16-Octadecatetraen-1-ol, 4,9,13,17-tetramethyl. This narrative review explores the potency of Turbinaria ornata extract for developing a plaster for healing the infection. The method used is a literature search from online databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and Researchgate. Based on the review, it can be concluded that the ethyl acetate extract of Turbinaria ornata has activity as a wound healed, antibacterial, and antimicrobial, so it has the potential to be developed as an antiseptic plaster is a solution for healing infection wound. The bioactive compound Neophytadiene in semi-polar extract has antipyretic, analgesic, antiinflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. The addition of bromocresol purple to the former plaster formula as an acid-base indicator, is needed to identify infected wounds and the progress of wound healing.
