Impact of Cigarette Smoking on Serum and Seminal Anti-Müllerian Hormone Levels in Men of Reproductive Age

According to the World Health Organization; Infertility is described as "a disease of the reproductive system defined by the failure to achieve a clinical pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. This study aims to explore the smoking effect on levels of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) in fertile males. A case control study recruited 60 fertile men into a study group: 30 smoker and 30 non-smokers. Their demographics, haematological indices, and biomarkers (AMH in serum and AMH in seminal, Testosterone, Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)and Luteinizing Hormone

Synthesis, identification and molecular docking of a new azo dye ligand with a Pt(IV) complex and evaluation of its impact on the expression of BCL-2, an anti-apoptotic marker in cancer cells

A new metal complex of Pt(IV) with a new ligand 2-[2'-(6-methoxybenzothiazolyl) azo]-3,4-dimethylbenzoic acid (6-MBTAMB), derived from 2-amino-6-methoxy benzothiazole, was prepared. This metal complex was described by spectroscopic techniques: UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, mass spectrometry, FE-SEM, XRD, and elemental analysis (C.H.N.S). The results certain that the azo dye ligand is a tridentate and coordinates to the metal ion by the nitrogen atom of the azomethine group of the heterocyclic benzothiazole ring, the nitrogen atom of the azo group which is the furthest of the benzothiazole molecule an

Thermodynamics, Kinetic Study and Equilibrium Isotherm Analysis of Rose Bengal Dye Adsorption by Chitosan-Based Schiff Base

The research deals with producing chitosan from shrimp shells using a chemical deacetylation process and aims to improve the purity of the chitosan. The study includes extracting chitin from the shells by removing protein, minerals, and pigments. Chitosan was analyzed using FTIR, XRD, FESEM, and Raman techniques to determine its structural and physical properties. The results showed that the adsorption followed the Freundlich and Timken models, i

Synthesis and spectral identification of the Au(III) complex with a new azo dye and assessment of its effect on the expression of PARP, a DNA repair enzyme, in breast cancer

A new ligand, 2-[2 '-(6-methoxybenzothiazolyl)azo]-4-methyl phenol (6-MBTAMP), a derivative of 2-amino-6-methoxy benzothiazole, has been used to synthesize a new metal complex of Au(III). The metal complex was characterized by spectroscopic techniques: UV-Vis, mass spectrometry, FT-IR, 1H NMR, and FE-SEM. As well as elemental analyses (C.H.N.S), crystal structure (XRD). Results shown that the azo dye ligand behaves a tridentate and coordinates to the metal ion via the nitrogen atom of the azomethine group of the heterocyclic benzothiazole ring, the nitrogen atom of the azo group which is the f

Synthesis and characterization of a new ligand azo 2- [4-imidazolyl azo ]-8-hydroxy qunoline with its ionic complexes Pd(II),Ag(I) ,Pt(IV) and Au(III) and study of biological activity as anticancer

preparation and diagnosis of a new azo heterocyclic ligand (ImHQ) . The prepared ligand was diagnosed by means of NMR spectra H-NMR, mass Spectrum mass spectrum, FT-IR spectrum, UV-Visible spectrum, X-ray diffraction (XRD) as well as microanalysis of elements (C.H.N.S) as for the second stage of the research, a series of solid metal complexes  were prepared with metal ions Pd(II), Ag(I), Pt(IV), and Au(III) , all solid metal complexes were diagnosed by the above techniques, except for 1H-NMR and Spectrum mass spectrometry and flame atomic absorption spectroscopy was also used, in order
