Copper (II) complexes of diethylaminosalicylaldehyde 4-ethyl thiosemicarbazone were synthesized and characterized by UV, IR and EPR spectroscopic methods. The formula of complexes were [CuL.H2O], [CuL]2 and [Cu(H2L)SO4] based on elemental analyses which provide information about the composition of the complexes in terms of the elements present. The molar conductivity values show that these complexes are non-conductors and suggest that they are likely molecular compounds rather than ionic compounds. The results of EPR spectra show that all the three complexes are four coordinated complexes with

Many fruits and vegetables contain vitamin C, but cooking destroys the vitamin, so raw citrus fruits and their juices are the main source of ascorbic acid for most people. This research was conducted to estimate the concentration of vitamin C in some types of juices, and it included eight types of juices of all kinds, natural, industrial and gaseous, namely lemon juice, orange juice, pomegranate juice

The relationship between serum amyloid E and chronic kidney disease and its relationship to the development and severity of the disease. In a case-control study, 25 samples were collected from people with chronic kidney disease at Al-Kadhimiya Teaching Hospital, and 25 samples were collected from healthy people of the same age and gender who were in good health. The immunochemical measurement technique was used to determ

Leptin is a hormone produced by adipose tissue that regulates appetite, energy levels, and even cardiovascular health. A copper-binding protein called ceruloplasmin controls both Iron metabolism and free radical defense. Investigates the impact of biomarkers leptin, ceruloplasmin, hsCRP, and lipoproteins on the development and progression of CVD in Thi-Qar Governate patients. A case-control study of ninety patients with CVD at the Nassiriya heart hospital between January 2023 to September 2023, and compared with ninetyone

Nine bacterial strains, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Alcanivorax borkumensis, and Rhodococcus erythropolis, were evaluated for biofilm formation and hydrocarbon degradation efficiency. Experimental results revealed that these strains exhibited significant biofilm formation and efficient degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons, particularly at an optimal incubation temperature of 40°C over 72 hours. Antagonistic
