The present work deals with the synthesis of modified clay-based adsorbents using experimental design methodology, more specifically full factorial design. The aim of this study is to develop effective adsorbents for the removal of contaminants from effluents. Design-of-experiments methodology was used to optimize key synthesis factors, such as the modifying agent, its concentration and the contact time. The responses studied were methylene blue dye removal rate and iodine number. The results obtained showed the significant influence of modifier concentration on the responses studied. In addit

This pollution undermines the quality of these waters by creating ecological conditions that are inadequate for normal aquatic life. To combat this pollution, this study consisted of analyzing the ecological state of the waters of the Abidjan coastline with a view to identifying their ability or inability to promote biological balance within them. Temperature, pH, salinity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, dissolved oxygen saturation,

The fruits used to carry out this work come from the cataract plateaus. The seeds were dried in an oven. Citrus seed oil extractions with different solvents were carried out using the Soxhlet method. The physicochemical characteristics of the oils were determined using the AOAC method. Gas chromatography was used to determine the fatty acid composition. The results showed that hexane is the b

The Physical, chemical, electric, and magnetic properties of nanomagnetic spinel ferrite materials used in industrial and biomedical applications are strongly affected by their size and surface area which can be manipulated by a suitable synthesis method. Biomedical applications of soft spinel ferrites mainl

These filters should be able to eliminate totally the chemical oxygen demand (COD) in surface water, with a view to alleviating water shortages in rural areas. The artisanal furnace built around an iron skeleton with a maximum temperature of 500 °C was chosen over the non-skeletonized artisanal furnace for activated carbon production. A filtration test on Dougba lake water with nitrate, turbidity and COD concentrations above the WHO standard (2011) identified nitrate as the limiting factor for the filters.
