Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles have attracted significant interest due to their exceptional properties, which include broad multi-domains such as piezoelectric nature, high thermal conductivity, and antimicrobial activity. This review examines the various synthetic methods used to produce ZnO nanoparticles, focusing on their advantages and limitations. The article broadly analyzes methods for synthesizing zinc oxide and zinc oxide nanoparticles and their applications in various industrial fields, including optoelectronics, sensor technologies, biomedical fields, and environmental improvement.
Read MoreThe present work deals with the synthesis of modified clay-based adsorbents using experimental design methodology, more specifically full factorial design. The aim of this study is to develop effective adsorbents for the removal of contaminants from effluents. Design-of-experiments methodology was used to optimize key synthesis factors, such as the modifying agent, its concentration and the contact time. The responses studied were methylene blue dye removal rate and iodine number. The results obtained showed the significant influence of modifier concentration on the responses studied. In addit
Read MorePopulation growth and the development of industrial and port activities along the entire coastline of the city of Abidjan are enormous sources of water pollution. This pollution undermines the quality of these waters by creating ecological conditions that are inadequate for normal aquatic life. To combat this pollution, this study consisted of analyzing the ecological state of the waters of the Abidjan coastline with a view to identifying their ability or inability to promote biological balance within them. Temperature, pH, salinity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, dissolved oxygen saturation,
Read MoreThe objective of this work was to characterize the oils extracted from the seeds of Citrus sinensis, C. reticulata, C. paradisi and C. aurantium from Congo using hexane and ethanol as extraction solvents. The fruits used to carry out this work come from the cataract plateaus. The seeds were dried in an oven. Citrus seed oil extractions with different solvents were carried out using the Soxhlet method. The physicochemical characteristics of the oils were determined using the AOAC method. Gas chromatography was used to determine the fatty acid composition. The results showed that hexane is the b
